Art in the landscape Verena Schwippert

Hap’s Garden Design is based in Everett, Washington,
where Hap lives with her husband and their dog.

Hap has worked as a landscape designer for eighteen years.
She is a graduate of Skidmore College (art education) and
the University of Washington (landscape architecture).

She has taught landscaping for Northwest nurseries and the
Washington State Nursery and Landscape Association (WSNLA);
is a member of the Association of Professional Landscape
Designers (APLD), the Washington Native Plant Society and the
Washington Association of Landscape Professionals (WALP);
is a Master Gardener and president of the board of directors
of the Evergreen Arboretum and Gardens.

Her designs emphasize sustainability. She incorporates edibles,
Northwest natives and plants with four-season interest in her designs.
